Presence and absence of components: Scanning quality inspection integrated into the production line

Working principle
The cameras and lighting are installed in a tunnel mounted over the production line. Wide angle stereovision technology measures the whole vehicle using just 6 pairs of cameras. As the vehicle passes along the line, the lights are switched on in a predefined sequence programmed to suit the vehicle being inspected. All measurements are saved by the integrated SPC software and the overall result is transmitted to the manufacturing process controller. A summary of the results is displayed showing the location and type of any faults by means of a colour code. The non-compliant areas of the vehicle requiring rework can then be identified precisely. The manufacturing process is tracked in real time, avoiding any risk of delay.
Automated & Semi-Automated Inspection Systems
Collaborative robot station for gap and flush measurement for multi-materials
Inspection during the assembly of unpainted and painted metal sheets.
Working principle:
Upon arrival in the station, the vision system determines the positioning of the vehicle with respect to the robots. A correction of their trajectories is carried out. Each of the robots then follows their trajectory as the vehicle moves in the station. For each section to be analysed, an image is taken instantly and is
transmitted to the processing unit. The calculation algorithms extract the measurements and compare them with the parameterized tolerances. The verdict is passed on to the manufacturing process. A synoptic displays the results by indicating their location and nature by using a colour code: red (NOK), orange (within the tolerance limits), green (OK) -for each section.
Automated gap and flush measurement station suitable for flexible production lines
Working principle
For each section, the robot positions the optical sensor in front of the section to be measured. It instantly captures an image and then sends it to the processing unit. The calculation algorithms extract the measurements and compare them to the set tolerances. All the measurements are saved in the built-in database and the results are sent to the production line controller. The results are displayed colour coded on a mimic – red (Not OK), orange (within tolerance), green (OK) – for each section.

The sensors make absolute or relative measurements in 2D or 3D.
